Lara Mari Riddle drove her truck up to a spot and parked. She went to her trailer and unloaded her chestnut colt. She tied him to the side of the trailer. She put her saddle on his back and tightened the girth. She put the bridle on and tightened the throat latch. She removed the halter and put her helmet on. She mounted the frisky colt and nudged him. Dark Skys snorted and started walking forward. He wanted to prove to his rider he could do his job perfectly. He walked calmly for her. Lara smiled and patted his neck. She kept him at a walk.

It was evening, and the sun was setting peacefully. The night was getting a little chilly, so the girl wore her navy blue Hollister hoodie. Her jeans were pulled tight around her calves by black half chaps strapped onto black paddock boots. This girl drove her black pick-up into the little parking lot and shut off the engine, hearing a whinny from the mare in back. Cherry, the horse, was excited to see where they were going. So Amber opened up the trailer and the good horse backed out well. "Good girl," she said.
Amber groomed the mare, dodging attempted nips. That horse was not very well trained on the ground, so the two would be working on that. Picking her hooves also didn't go very well. "Come on now, it's not that hard. Just lift your hoof up!" Amber said, and gave the mare a tap on the hock to make what she was asking for clear. When that task was finished, Amber tacked the Swedish Warmblood up. This went a little more smoothly as the white baby pad was adjusted, running martingale attached, and figure eight buckled at an appropriate tightness. Cherry snorted and tossed her head. "Let's go, girl," she said and pulled the stirrups down and mounted up.
The chestnut mare was eager to look around, and was stepping lively. She wasn't much of a trail horse. Amber gathered her up and asked for a trot. At first it was bouncey and tentative, but as Cherry got a better feel for everything she picked up the pace and was more regular and steady. "Good girl," she praised with a soothing voice. Then Amber saw another girl up ahead and asked Cherry for a canter, catching up to them, and then slowed. "Hey, watsup?" she asked. [/size] |

Lara looked over. " I'm good you" said Lara. She patted Dark Skys's neck. Dark Skys snorted and tossed his head. She settled him down and kept him at a walk. She knew he wanted to run but held him back. The chestnut colt snorted and held his head high. He was proud which was easy to tell. But she knew how to control him. She held him in the walk feeling his power building up faster than ever.

She smiled and said, "Good, thanks. I'm Amber Collins, by the way." The girl gazed at the chestnut colt. He was very handsome, and looked like a bundle of fire that was ready to burst. "He sure looks like he's got talent," she said. Cherry meanwhile was busy looking around, and jumping at a flock of birds taking flight from a tree. "Oh chill out now," she muttered to the Warmblood mare, and gave her a reassuring pat on the neck. They hadn't even cantered for more than a minute and she was already working herself up into a sweat. Amber chuckled, seeing the curling hair where the reins rubbed against her neck. [/size] |

" I'm Lara Riddle. He does have some talent but I'm holding him back. At the moment just under the saddle I can feel his power building up" said Lara. Dark Skys snorted and tossed his head again. He lowered his head down and nipped at his right leg near the fetlock then raised his head again. He lowered his head again and this time kept it down nipping just above the fetlock on his right leg. Lara smiled and patted his neck gently then felt more power building and fast.

She nodded and said, "Nice to meet you, Lara." Amber laughed slightly at her comment about holding him back. She could see the tension between her fingers, running through the reins, and into the bit in his mouth. "I know how that goes," she said. Seeing the colt's power well up inside him, Amber said, "Let 'im go, then!" This would be a good test for Cherry to see how well she would respond to another horse going up ahead of her. Amber had seen horses who were always bugging their rider to get up in front, no matter what the pace. [/size] |

Lara smiled and nodded. She used only her knees to erge the colt into a canter and quick. Dark Skys took the erge and took off at a canter. He stretched out with each stride. Lara held tight to both reins and mane. She had gotten into a postion and moved with his every stride. She was erging him to go faster. Hero, took the erge again. He broke into a gallop fast. She grinned and moved faster with him. She was now flat against his back and neck. She held tighter to both reins and mane.
