The silver truck rumbled noisily up the driveway with a matching trailer in tow until pulling to a halt. Brian was getting fed up with the thing; it cost nearly ninety dollars just to fill the... darn thing up. He got out and slammed the door unintentionally. God, he needed a job and a place to board his stallion, Jupiter. Already he could hear the Hano stud's noisy pawing in the trailer; he was very anxious to get out. "Chill for a second, bud!" he called into the window, and the horse calmed down... for now. He left the window open so the stallion could look around and keep cool in the two-horse slant.
Brian wore jeans and a tight-fitting white tee-shirt. It was warming up considerably, so he didn't have his usual jean jacket or sweatshirt. He drew a sigh, then knocked on the door with a slight hesitation, hoping this was the place to be.

Aly got up from the couch to the echoeing noise of the doorbell ring. Turning er T.V. off she threw the channel to the couch and made ehr way to the door. before opening the door, she grabbed her stable jacket with her name and stable name on it and slide it over her top frame. Zipping the jacket up, Aly reached forwards and pulled the door open. "May I help you?" Aly asked to the man standing before her. She wasn't expecting any visitors, however; once she saw the truck and trailer she knew he wanted to board. Great, now she'd have to get another stall ready. That was okay, it was money for her. All for the money.

He smiled tightly as he saw the girl. She couldn't be the same age as him, in fact she looked younger. With his hands in his back pockets, he spoke. "Hi, yea, I was wondering if I could board my stallion here, and maybe get a job," he said. Quickly running what he had said through his mind, he realized he forgot to state his name. "Oh, and the name's Brian Winterr," he added hastily. "If you just tell me what stall I should use, I'll be on my way..." he said. Brian felt a little stab in the gut, because the girl looked like his dead little sister. He caught his breath for a moment, remembering the flashing lights of cop cars and the scream of his agonized mother when she found out. The world could be so cold, but maybe this place would warm it up a little bit for him.

Aly smiled at the guy. Studying his face, she caught herself and thought of something to say other then to stare blankly at the guy/ he was kinda cute thoug. Aly hadn't talked to Max for a week so she was pretty sure they were over. Even tough she'd get mad. "O hi. Yes, I'm Aly Carr. Nice to meet you..." Thinking of what stall was open for board she smiled. "Stall number 3 in that barn right over there." Aly said pointing to a red barn of which was the boarders barn. "Smiling back to Brian she grinned. If you need anything I'm going to be in the arena breaking a filly in." Aly said smiling before walking off.

He smiled as she did, because at first he thought he was intruding on her "alone time" like at the stable he used to ride at. "Thanks," he said, and stepped away from the door as she left to the large arena he had glanced at when he arrived. She was young, but she was beautiful, and apparently very talented if she was breaking in a filly on her own. There weren't any cars in the driveway except for his, and speaking of which, multiple whinnies and squeals were being emitted. Swearing briefly, Brian jogged out to get his stallion.
Jupiter squealed at the sight of his owner. "Calm down, bud!" the man told his horse in a relaxing tone as he grabbed the horse's teal lead rope and attached it to his halter. As soon as the strap was released and the butt-bar opened, the Hanoverian flew out like he was standing on hot coals. Brian couldn't help but laugh as the stallion now calmly sniffed the ground, wondering if the grey stones would magically turn into grain or hay. The man picked up the lead rope and shut the trailer up before leading Jupiter to his new stall.
So he would have space to move around and get ready, Brian clipped a cross-tie onto the horse's halter and threw his lead over his withers. "Easy now, you'll have your stall in a minute," he said and went to find some bedding. He found some, a bag of pellets that was obviously marked "BEDDING" and slit it open with his pocket-knife that he carried around for occasions just like this. Actually, it also was kept in his pocket out of habit from living in the city. Brian was always ready. He spread the pellets around in the nice, thick dirt of the stallion's new large box stall. After disposing of the bag, he tossed in three flakes of hay and poured in a scoop of the horse's usual feed from home (they would make a transition from home grain to this grain) and then led Jupiter into it. Brian filled out the card before sliding it into place, and then went to check out Aly breaking in the filly she had told him about.
