Bailey slid out of the truck seat, shoving her keys into her back pocket. She stifled a yawn as she stepped out into the pink grey morning. The smell of hay and horse wavered from the barn and to Bailey it felt like home.
Private barn she thought in her head, first order of business. Her worn boots made a scuffle-click noise as she walked across the yard towards the barn. Glancing at the clock she caught the time. It was a mear 6 a.m. She had the rest of the day to look forward to.
Ofcourse she had the rest of the day to look forward to but this was to look forward to as well. She loved to work, especially in the barn. The barn was silent for the most part as Bailey walked inside, the occasional shuffle from a tired horse was heard but not much else. She knew the stable hand was not here yet, she was early anyways.
The first stall belonged to Thomas, the beautiful thoroughbred stallion. Bailey looked in his stall to see him bright eyed, looking back at her. "Hello" She crooned softly. She held her hand out in front of him and let him sniff her. Carefully picked up the grooming bucket and opening the stall she began brushing him. Starting with his face and ending with picking his feet.
Bailey Made sure that Thomas was feeling good and stepped out of his stall. She continued this manner through to the next three horses. Starting with their head and ending with their feet. The only one she had a problem with was Cherry. Though beautiful, the mare had an attitude. Bailey didn't mind, she delt with many horses in her life.
Seens it was early, she had no horses to tack up she moved onto the second barn.
